Daniel Fishel's work has appeared on records, book covers, apparel, products, advertisements, wine labels, animations, magazines, newspapers, and galleries around the world. From their studio in Philadelphia, they have worked on illustration and animation projects with clients such as Apple, Target, Audible, Bloomberg, Central Park Conservancy, Flocabulary, Netflix, Baron Fig, Macmillan Publishers, Scholastic, HarperCollins, McSweeney’s, NY Public Radio, The Washington Post, NPR, AARP, The New York Times, Forbes, NBC News, Vice, TODAY show, This American Life, and Politico.
Daniel holds a BFA in Illustration from the University of the Arts and an MFA in Illustration as a Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts. The Society of Illustrators and American Illustration annuals have showcased their illustration work. Forbes Magazine acknowledged them in 2016 as one of their 30 under 30 honorees in the Art/Style category. In addition to illustrating and animating client work, Daniel is the program director of the illustration department at the University of the Arts and an instructor teaching courses on illustration, animation, and design. Daniel spends their leisure time with their feline companion, Avocado, cruising around the city on their motorcycle and embarking on road trips while pursuing the perfect croissant.
