Paula Mejia is the Arts Editor at the Los Angeles Times as well as an arts and culture critic and journalist. She is the author of a book about The Jesus and Mary Chain’s Psychocandy for Bloomsbury Press’s 33 1/3 series (October 2016). Her work has appeared in The Criterion Collection, Newsweek, The New York Times, NPR and Vulture. She has served on panels about music, digital archiving, film and journalism at South By Southwest, the Experience Music Project, the Mezipatra Film Festival and the New Museum, respectively. She is based in Los Angeles, CA.
