Naseem Jamnia is a Markowitz Award-winning and Astounding Award-nominated author of inclusive speculative fiction for adults, teens, and kid. Their debut adult fantasy novella THE BRUISING OF QILWA (Tachyon 2022) was a finalist for the 2023 IAFA Crawford, Locus, and World Fantasy awards. Their debut middle-grade horror novel THE GLADE (Aladdin 2025) is a finalist for the 2026 Ignyte Award. They're the layout editor for Sword & Kettle Press, a tiny cooperatively owned publishing house for queer and intersectional speculative literature; an inclusive writing educator through literary organizations and at the low-residency program at the University of Nevada, Reno, at Lake Tahoe; and a pro-library activist with Authors Against Book Bans, Freedom to Read Nevada, and the Collective for Nevada Libraries. A Chicagoan born to Iranian immigrants and former neuroscientist, they currently live outside Reno with their geologist husband and four furred creatures.
