Julie Bliven

Julie Bliven launched her authorial debut with the picture book SOMETIMES SHY. She also works as an editorial consultant for writers in all phases of their careers. Before this, she was an acquisitions editor of books for young children for nearly sixteen years. She holds a master’s degree in children’s literature from Simmons University, where she has mentored and taught in the MFA program. Julie lives in Yarmouth, Maine, with her husband, son, and their dog, Lucy.
