Gracie Klumpp

BIO

Gracie Klumpp (she/they) is a chronically ill, queer, Autistic author/illustrator and comics creator. They tell stories with both words and pictures for people who feel like they've fallen between the cracks of life, and have a knack for digging deep below the surface to find the beating heart of a story and creating illustrations that capture the truth and resonance of it at a glance.

Their specialties are incorporating hand lettering into illustrations and handling difficult topics like mental health, grief, and trauma with nuance, care, and a dash of the magical that puts the real life experiences we often struggle to communicate about into a more accessible language we know in our bones already. Gracie believes being honest about our pain is an important part of healing and what gives us hope, and this balance of dark-yet-hopeful is what they bring to any project. Gracie is always looking to work with people and on projects that focus on honesty and inclusivity, and using the power of stories to heal and connect us with ourselves and each other more deeply.
