Dana Marie Miroballi is a writer and speech-language pathologist. She grew up on Army bases in Germany, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan, and now lives in Chicago with her family. Dana is the author of If My Hair Had a Voice from Beaming Books illustrated by Patricia Grannum and Inventions to Count On: A Celebration of Black Inventors from Abrams Appleseed illustrated by Sawyer Cloud. Inventions to Count On was selected for the 2026 Illinois Reads List sponsored by the Illinois Reading Council.
